This Is What Showing Up Looks Like

Showing Up Isn’t Always What You Think
Showing up doesn’t always look the way people think it does.
It’s not always big wins or perfect moments.
Sometimes it looks like walking into a room before anyone else arrives… turning on the lights… and preparing the space for what’s about to happen.
That’s where I am right now.
I just wrapped up Freaky Fiber Fun and stepped straight into a full stretch of teaching—One Block Wonder, followed by my 4-Day Fiber Art Bootcamp, and finishing next week with a 2-day Animal Portrait class.
Long days. Full rooms. Creative energy everywhere.
And honestly? There’s nowhere else I’d rather be.
Right Back to What Matters
Because this—being surrounded by people who are willing to try, experiment, and push past their comfort zone—is what fuels me.
Every student walks in with a different story.
Different experience.
Different level of confidence.
And then something shifts.
They start.
They try.
They figure it out.
That’s the moment I love.
Not perfection. Not finished pieces.
But that moment when someone realizes… “I can do this.”
That’s what showing up creates.

Staying in Motion
This is what showing up looks like.
It’s choosing to stay in motion.
It’s choosing to create.
It’s choosing to pour into others and let that energy come right back to you.
Not every moment needs to be analyzed.
Not every experience needs to be overthought.
Sometimes you just step forward into what you know is right—and keep going.
Making Space for What’s Next
And as much as I love this season of teaching, I also know when it’s time to shift.
This month wraps up my teaching season until the fall.
Next week, I’ll finish with a 2-day Animal Portrait class—what a perfect way to close out this chapter, doing exactly what I love.
After that, I’m taking a little intentional downtime.
Time to reset.
Time to take care of myself.
Time to make space for what’s next.
Because what’s next matters too.
New work.
New ideas.
New ways of sharing—through online classes, YouTube, and continuing to grow this creative journey in a bigger way.
That doesn’t happen by accident.
It happens by choosing to honor the time it takes to get there.
This Is the Journey
So for now—I’m all in.
Teaching.
Creating.
Showing up fully for every student in front of me.
And when this season closes, I’ll shift again… with purpose.
Because this journey isn’t about standing still.
It’s about knowing when to move forward…and when to pause…and trusting both.
